The phase of childhood which comes before the onset of secondary sex characteristics is known as prepubescence. This was calculated as the time spent in doing moderate to heavy activity by total time of the class. The result of this research showed that the amount of physical activity that was noted was a lot less than the national average of 27% and it was a lot more below than the national recommendation of atleast 50%.

A review was conducted of current fitness of youth and it indicated that children in other developed nations are more strong, fit and fast as compared to those in the United States. At earlier ages, children in the United States are noticed to develop a sedentary lifestyle also. If a child does less amount of exercises daily, he is more prone to have childhood obesity, hypertension and in the long run, premature death due to heart disease. The recommended amount of time that should be devoted by children per day is 30 minutes and through intervention and awareness in children through motivation and education, exercise levels are being increased. Chiropractor can help you a great deal in determining the exercises and the amount of exercises that your child should do.
