The Road to Fast Abs
6 pack abs fast
Four months ago I began my journey to get a set of 6 pack abs fast. The first thing I learned that the abs are not a muscle you can see fast. No matter how much you exercise it, it still hides behind the littlest amount of abdominal fat. And to get a flat tummy you have to lose the fat and tone the abs. They are not mutually exclusive. So I hit the net read every blog I could find. People love to talk about their six pack abs, washboard stomachs and ripped abdomens but nobody could tell me how I could change my keg to 6 pack. So I went to the looking for the experts.
The Guru's of the Six Pack Abs
Well, the first thing I learned there was no magic pill for getting a ripped body or a six pack, but there is a right way and a wrong way. If you are going to lose fat, you need to exercise. And not just any exercise, but ab ripping exercises that tone a firm the abdominals and help you lose fat. Luckily, every six pack guru has a ton of them and most of them have videos too since they read like a Chinese menu
The 6 Pack Abs Diet
Of course there is more to ripped abs then exercise and I needed the proper diet. The workouts for ripping up the abs are very intense so I needed calories but I needed to burn fat, quite a quandary. Some of the guru';s recommend low fat, some low carb. It's very confusing. For me, I opted for low carbs for 3 days, medium carb for one, then repeat. This seemed to have the best effect on my body fat and specifically my belly fat. With the exercise routine in place, I quickly noticed a hint of a six pack poking through.
That Darn Belly Fat
Wouldn't you know it, the last fat to go on my body is in the abs. Being that I wanted to get abs quick, I had to step it up. Now, I am not recommending this to everyone but it worked for me. I added Hydroxycut Hardcore twice a day and increased the level of abs exercise I am not caffeine sensitive so the extra energy was only noticed in my work outs. I have to say that my body liked the stuff. I noticed a quick change in the abs, especially the side abdominals (called obliques.) And my weight dropped about 15 pounds in 4 weeks. Which is quick enough for my body but, as they say, results may vary. All I want is a ripped abdomen, is that too much to ask for?
So, What about Fat Loss
It seems that to see your abs, you need to have a pretty low body fat. When I started my exercise and diet, I was about 22%. Now, 3 months in, I have about 8.4 body fat. It was about 10% body fat that my abs started to show. I am guessing it will take about 2 more percent to really show the washboard thing. If it means a lot of time in the gym, adding new ab exercises, rolling on a ball, trying medicine balls, kettle bells, running, whatever. I am going to have that six pack once before I am forty.
The Pursuit of Flat Abs
So what is it about the ab? I know for me, having stronger abs has made a huge difference in my posture and my back is stronger. But that doesn't explain the pursuit of a six pack. I could have rock hard abs and a layer of fat over it and nobody would know. Guess its the level of fitness we associate with rock hard, washboard like abs. It says you have your diet and exercise routine working. Nothing a big belly could show the girls.
Anyway, if you want results get ready to work. And don't do it alone. Get yourself a coach or trainer. If you aren't ready for the $125 per workout, do what I did, buy every six pack guru's materials (cheap) and lock yourself in the basement for 4 months. Seriously, these guys have the diet, exercises, videos, and log books for your to succeed and for a lot less than you'd think. When I am a little more brave I'll post my before and afters on my blog.
